About Our Agency
Stateside Underwriting Agency, Inc. (SUA) is the underwriting manager for Scottsdale Insurance Company for their Employment Practices Liability and Mortgage Company Professional Liability programs. The programs are nationwide. SUA underwrites these coverages with in-house authority through our offices in Chicago and Cleveland. SUA is currently celebrating its 10th Year of service in providing the insurance marketplace with specialty risk lines of insurance.
EPLI Coverage Features
- If eligible, Wage & Hour, Third Party Liability, Identity Fraud and Immigration Claim Expense coverage endorsements can be included.
- Extended Reporting Period - free for 60 days with an option to purchase up to 36 months
- Mental Anguish - covered when related to employment practices
- Fact Finding Circumstances - defense costs covered regarding responses to complaints from the EEOC and other state regulatory agencies (Deductible applies)
- Innocent Insureds Protection - covers insureds who have not participated in the commission of a intentional act
- Defendant Reimbursement - $500 per day with a $5,000 aggregate for an insured's attendance at trial, hearing or arbitration proceeding when requested by the insurer (No Deductible applies)
- Broad Definition of "You" and "Your" - includes the named insured, employees or former employees, including temporary, part-time or volunteers; current or former partners or stockholders. Claims may be brought by temporary workers, leased workers, employees or applicants.

Minimum Deductible: $2,500 - Also, eligible accounts can be quoted at a deductible aggregate starting at $2,500/$2,500 and going up to $10,000/$10,000, should they meet required underwriting guidelines.

Maximum Limits: $3 million Each Claim/$3 million Annual Aggregate. (Higher limits are available through facultative reinsurance)
